Timeline is a daily history puzzle built around four real events. You place them in chronological order one at a time, with each choice narrowing the remaining options, until the whole sequence from earliest to latest is locked in.

1. Read the four events shown for today's timeline.
2. Choose which event happened first among the remaining options.
3. Continue selecting the next event in order until none remain.
4. After the last event, your score and the correct order appear.

Scoring

Your score reflects how many positions in the sequence you place correctly, scaled to a total out of 100. A fully correct order earns the full score for the day.

• Anchor on the event you are most confident about first, even if it is not first chronologically.
• Think in centuries before narrowing to exact decades.
• Technology and exploration milestones often give away their era through context.
• If two events feel close in time, place the one you know best more precisely.

Does everyone get the same Timeline events?

Yes. The four events are generated from the game date and identical for every player that day.

Can I replay Timeline?

Your first completed attempt is saved as the daily result. A new scored timeline arrives at midnight US Eastern.

Are the events always from the same era?

No, the daily set can span centuries, which is part of what makes ordering them interesting.

What happens if I place an event wrong?

You can keep playing through the full sequence; a wrong placement just does not count toward your score.
