Number games are quick mental workouts. Hit the target, fill the grid, or make the closest estimate. Chase your personal best, or compare scores with your group.
Why number games are fun
Number puzzles are a workout you can finish before your coffee cools. They reward quick arithmetic, clean logic and the occasional brave guess, and there is something very satisfying about watching a grid of numbers fall into place. Unlike a long math problem, every daily number game is designed to take only a few minutes.
Target asks you to reach a goal number using a set of tiles and the four basic operations. Mini Sudoku is a four-by-four logic grid where every row, column and box needs the digits one to four. Equation Guess has you work out a hidden equation from its shape and result. Estimate asks for one bold guess at a real-world quantity, and Number Grid has you place one to nine so every row and column adds up.
How the daily works
Every number puzzle comes from the date, so everyone gets exactly the same board, and new puzzles unlock at midnight US Eastern time. You get one scored attempt per game per day, and your moves are checked on our server, which keeps the leaderboard honest.
Scoring rewards accuracy first. In Target, landing exactly on the number scores best, and getting close still earns points. In Estimate, your score depends on how close your single answer lands. When you finish, the share card shows your result without revealing the solution, so friends can still solve it themselves.
Playing with your group
Add number games to your group's daily lineup and compare results on the Today board. The Stats tab tracks averages and streaks over time, and the feed celebrates badges and milestones. It is a great way for a family to keep everyone's mental math sharp.
Tips: in Target, work backwards from the goal; in Mini Sudoku, look for the row or box with the most numbers already filled; and in Estimate, think about the order of magnitude before the exact number. Then come back tomorrow for a fresh set.
Number games are friendly to every age. Younger players get real practice with addition, subtraction and times tables without it ever feeling like homework, while adults get a quick puzzle that wakes the brain up before work. Because each puzzle has a clear right answer, there is no arguing about the result: either the numbers add up or they do not, and the scoreboard says who got there first.
If you like a challenge, try playing every number game in one sitting and adding your scores together. Groups can do exactly that by choosing the numbers category as their daily lineup, so the Today board ranks everyone on the combined total of all five games. It is a simple way to turn a few minutes of mental math into a daily competition with the people you care about.
