🔒 Letterlock

Letterlock is a daily five-letter word puzzle. You get six guesses, and after each one every letter is marked to show whether it sits in the right spot, belongs elsewhere in the word, or is not in the word at all. Everyone playing that day faces the same hidden word, so comparing results with your group is instant and fair.

1. Type any valid five-letter word and submit it as your first guess.
2. Green means the letter is correct and in the right position.
3. Yellow means the letter is in the word but in a different spot.
4. Gray means the letter is not in the word at all.
5. Use the feedback to narrow things down and solve it within six guesses.

Scoring

You score more the faster you solve it: 100 points for a first-guess solve, dropping by 15 for each extra guess you need. An unsolved board scores zero but still keeps your daily Trophy Streak alive.

• Open with a word packed with common vowels and consonants.
• Do not reuse gray letters — every wasted guess costs points.
• When two letters could fit the same slot, pick a guess that tests both.
• Turn on colorblind mode in settings to swap colors for shapes.

Is the Letterlock word the same for everyone?

Yes. The word is generated from the date, so every player worldwide gets the same puzzle each day.

How many times can I play Letterlock per day?

One scored attempt per day. The board resets at midnight US Eastern time.

Do I need an account to play Letterlock?

No. You can play as a guest, and we will offer to save your score if you create an account afterward.

Are proper nouns ever the answer?

No. Answers are always common English words in their base form.

Does a failed board break my streak?

No. Playing keeps your streak alive; solving is what builds your win rate.
