Mini Crossword is a compact daily crossword with five across-and-down clues, sized to finish in just a couple of minutes. It keeps the satisfaction of a crossword solve without the long commitment, and the same grid is shared by every player on a given day.

2. Type your answer for the active clue into the input field.
3. Submit each answer to lock it in before moving to the next clue.
4. Complete all five clues to finish the daily grid.

Scoring

Your score reflects how many of the five clues you solve correctly, scaled to a total out of 100. Revealing a hint on a clue subtracts 5 points from your final score.

• Solve the shortest clues first — three-letter answers narrow the grid fastest.
• Letter counts in the hint tell you exactly how long the answer should be.
• Think of common crossword vocabulary before obscure or technical terms.
• Revisit a stuck clue after solving its neighbors; shared letters often help.

Does everyone get the same Mini Crossword?

Yes. The five clues are generated from the game date and identical for every player that day.

Can I replay the Mini Crossword?

Your first completed attempt is saved as the daily result. A new scored grid arrives at midnight US Eastern.

Are the clues always the same difficulty?

The daily set mixes easy and slightly trickier clues so the puzzle stays quick but not trivial.

What happens if I use a hint?

You can still solve the clue, but five points come off your final score for that puzzle.
