Word Chain is a daily sequencing puzzle where each new word must begin with the final letter of the word already on the board. You choose from a short list of options each round, and a single wrong pick breaks the chain, so reading ahead pays off.

1. Read the current word shown on the board.
2. Choose the option that begins with that word's final letter.
3. Keep selecting correct links to extend the chain round by round.
4. Finish every round to lock in your daily chain score.

Scoring

Your score reflects how many links in the chain you complete correctly, scaled to a total out of 100. A fully correct chain earns the full score for the day.

• Say the final letter of the current word out loud before scanning the options.
• Watch for similar-looking options that start with a different letter than you expect.
• Build a mental habit of noting the last letter the instant a new word appears.
• A wrong link still lets you keep playing, so finish the whole chain for your best score.

Does everyone get the same Word Chain?

Yes. The chain of words is generated from the game date and is identical for every player that day.

Can I replay Word Chain?

Your first completed attempt is saved as the daily result. A new scored chain arrives at midnight US Eastern.

Does a wrong link end the game?

No, you keep playing through every round; a wrong link simply does not count toward your score.

Are the chain words always common words?

Yes, every word in the chain is a common English word so the puzzle stays approachable.
