🔀 Scramble

Scramble serves up five jumbled words every day, each scrambled fresh from the date's seed. Read the shuffled letters, picture the real word hiding inside, and type it out before moving to the next one. A hint is always one tap away if a word has you stumped.

1. Read the scrambled letters shown for the current word.
2. Type the unscrambled word and submit it to check your answer.
3. Reveal the letter-count hint if you get stuck — it costs a few points.
4. Work through all five scrambles to complete the daily board.

Scoring

Your score reflects how many of the five words you solve, scaled to a total out of 100. Using the hint on a word subtracts 5 points from your final score.

• Look for common letter pairs like "TH" or "ER" hiding in the jumble.
• Try reading the letters from the end of the scramble backward.
• Sound out vowel clusters first — they narrow down the word fastest.
• Save hints for the word that is genuinely stumping you, not the first tricky one.

Does everyone get the same Scramble words?

Yes. The five scrambled words are generated from the game date and identical for every player.

How long are the Scramble words?

Between four and seven letters. The hint tells you the exact length.

Can I replay Scramble?

Your first completed attempt is saved as the daily result. A new scored puzzle arrives at midnight US Eastern.

Does the hint give away the whole word?

No, it only reveals the letter count, which is usually just enough of a nudge.
